In this clip from Azumanga Daioh, Tomo and the gang decide to go over to see Sakaki’s pet Iriomote kitten, Maya. However things get a little out of hand when Tomo starts to intimidate Mr. Tadakichi with Maya. But even though Yomi tells her to stop, Tomo still insists on doing it anyway!!!!!!! Unfortunately, Tomo ends up getting hurt and acts like a big crybaby. Hey Tomo, maybe you should call your mommy to take care of that little boo-boo and make it all better. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

So in the past seven years that I have been watching anime, I have came across some realy interesting and thought provoking quotes from different anime series. So here are my top five favorite anime quotes of all time. And trust me guys, these quotes are awesome.

1) “I’ll just say that all you geeks ganged up on her and <BEEP>ed her”-Haruhi Suzumiya (The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ep.2).

Now this first quote may confuse you a little bit if you have never seen The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya before. This quote came from episode two of the series in which Haruhi and company tries to get an computer from the computer club. However things get a little out of hand when Haruhi threatens the computer clubs president that she would post pictures of him touching Mikuru’s breasts all over the school if he didn’t hand over a computer to them. Now I have to say that this is one of the best quotes of the entire series, however it is not a good idea to threaten a club president with sexual harassment in order to get a computer or other things. It can either lead to trouble or getting your butt kicked.

2) “This is the impretriable wall of Jericho third child. Take one step over this wall, and you will be a dead man”Asuka Langley Soryu (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ep.9).

Now most of you guys know that Asuka was the young and beautiful red head who always had a hard temper in the series Neon Genesis Evangelion. But in episode nine of the series, we see a different side of her that shows why she is one of the best female characters of the series. In the scene where this quote came from, we see Asuka and Shinji getting ready for bed. However when Asuka ends up needing to go to the bathroom, she ends up falling back to sleep right next to Shinji in which brings us to one of the most memorable moments of the series when Asuka and Shinji kiss. Well I dont know if most of you guys agree with me or not, but I think it was one of the best scenes from the series by far IMO!!!!!!

3) “Guess what? We all saw what you were doing. Those figures aren’t just worth collecting unless you can see their panties right? Maybe the only naked girls you have ever seen were in magazines” Harunobu Madarame (Genshiken Ep.1).

Now I know what most of you guys are thinking about at the moment, why the heck did I decide to make this quote number three on my list? Well let me explain why. Most of you guys at one time or another in your life have collected anime figurines, maybe because of their quality of design or getting a strong resale value for them. But in the case of Harunobu Madarame, it’s the pantsu!!!!!!!! And for those of you who have seen Genshiken would probably get the idea, so lets move on to the next quote.

4) “How much did it cost?… You damn bourgeois, GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!” Ms. Yukari (Azumanga Daioh Ep.3).

Now in Azumanga Daioh their are plenty of hillarious scenes between Nyamo and Yukari, but this one particular scene from episode three of the series realy takes the cake. In this scene we Yukari visiting her friend Nyamo in her apartment. However instead of having a casual conversation, she ends up falling asleep in Nyamo’s bed. She then realizes that something isnt right, in which she then notices that the pillow she is resting her head on is super soft. Now why would you think that Yukari would freak out over a simple thing as a memory foam pillow? Come on, memory foam pillows are the softest pillows know to man and I would be willing to pay 10,000 yen to sleep in luxury every night. I don’t understand what Yukari’s problem was with the pillow, but it does help make it one of the most popular scenes in the series.

Well there are so many other quotes that I would like to share with you guys, but I will save them for another day. Additional Thoughts: Suffice it to say, EVERYONE wants to see this show. Even a couple of my ex-roommates have showed a little interest. There hasn’t really been too many “headless horseman” type shows around with the unique atmosphere that DRRR!! exudes. I’m very excited to review episode 1 and will have a post up a.s.a.p. Just a note for all other anime bloggers -- be sure to scope out episode 1 of these winter shows a bit early because it seems a couple subbed shows like Chu-Bra!! are jumping the gun. Additional Thoughts: Dance In The Vampire Bund…what a regal title. Ironically, the name fits the theme of the show exactly. Mina Tepes IS the princess of all vampires and has power only few can dream of. After reading the Vampire Bund manga (or what is out at the moment), I couldn’t help but salivate for the anime. If the show follows the manga relatively close, it’ll be a runaway hit for sure. Make sure you catch this lolita war princess as soon as episode 1 is released.

Additional Thoughts: When doing really long posts like this, my mind gets a little tired, but moreso impatient. Each season there’s always a weird offshoot anime like this that is super short, and almost no one really cares about. If anyone does, let me know, I’ll correct the previous statement. But in retrospect, I suppose this show isn’t COMPLETELY off, because this is actually the 3rd or 4th season in existance (even though each “show” is only about 5 minutes). And oh boy, looking for pictures was a pain too. Who knows, maybe we’ll learn more about this odd show later on.

Additional Thoughts: Recently there has been a lot of hoopla over this show and if it’s a silly fan service show, or a wannabe Full Metal Alchemist. In my honest opinion, I think this show brings something completely new to the table. Full Metal Alchemist is on a level all to itself. No one needs to worry about someone copying it, because it’s basically impossible. What I like about this show is how it actually decided to take a stab at the whole “elemental magic” thing. Of course, the breast milk known as “souma” is going to be fun to look at, but I want to behold battles with maybe a copper (electric powers due to conductivity) and magnesium (explosive powers from being easily ignited). The different combinations are endless. In addition, there’s a GOLD master? Yeah, sign me on.

Covering in the Future? Breastmilk from hot chicks, cool powers, interesting religious element. Very intriguing. I’ll definitely catch this anime.

Summary: Redi x Bato centers around Akiharu Hino, an ordinary high school student who is a little unfortunate as he has the looks for a juvenile delinquent. The students there learns how to be butlers and maids and Akiharu often finds himself in the middle of the both always arguing professions.

Thoughts: Well I don’t really want to post any thoughts yet, because the first subbed episode is out already, but I will say I expect this show to be funny, raunchy, and shenanigans all over the place. More about what I thought in a review later on.

I haven’t done any additional research or looked at any other trailers besides the English one, but I feel it won’t be necessary especially since all these shows will be coming out in about a week’s time anyways. Hopefully this show will be good. Unfortunately, I don’t have much else to say.

Black Cat, Jubei-chan, and Oh! Edo Rocket animation director Takahiro Yoshimatsu will serve as chief director for the Kaito Reinya anime. The show will premiere on the KBC network in Japan’s Kyushu region on January 9th before becoming available on the KDDI’s mobile phone video service.

Thoughts: Hmmm…this show is supposed to be a comedy, but judging from the artwork, it doesn’t really look like something too funny…probably a bunch of slap-stick. But then again, Azumanga Daioh’s animation was fairly “run of the mill,” but ended up being a smash (at least for me). I suppose you really can’t judge a book by its cover, so I suppose I’ll give this show a chance. However, if the first episode sucks, I’m done with it for sure.

Summary: There really isn’t much information out on this show yet, but just know it’s a sequel to an ongoing series that’s relatively popular in Japan. I feel silly to have never heard of it. Anyways, here’s the general synopsis of the whole series from Wikia: One night, the introverted flower lover Tsubomi Hanasaki has a strange and mysterious dream, where the legendary warriors known as Pretty Cure are defeated at the base of the “Great Tree of Hearts”. Because of this, all the beautiful plants are destroyed, and two fairies from the Tree of Hearts take off. It soon turns out to be real, and the fairies appear next to her. They want her to become the legendary warrior Pretty Cure and make the Heart Flower bloom to prevent the Great Tree of Hearts, the source of all human hearts, from dying. However, Tsubomi thinks she is unable to do so and refuses. However, an enemy attacks her classmate Kurumi Erika and takes away her “Heart Seed”. To save Erika’s heart, Tsubomi summons the courage she needs and transforms into a Pretty Cure warrior, Cure Blossom.

Thoughts: Like I was saying earlier, I have never heard of this show in my life. And to think there are 7 episodes…mmmyeahhhh. I don’t know if I would even consider watching Precure because of the bushel of titles coming before it. I might try to find a summary video later or perhaps watch them myself and fill everyone in later on. The art reminds me of Utawaremono (even though I’ve never seen more than 5 seconds of it) & seems really colorful. The “girly” styled title kind of throws me off, but there’s something about this show that draws me in. Hell, it might even be kind of funny or entertaining. I’ll give it a try…if the first episode is good.

Summary: A swordfight story taking place in Edo era (17th -- 19th century). With the order from a female samurai general Togame, he sets out for a trip to collect the twelve treasured swords created by a legendary swordsmith Shikizaki Kiki.

Thoughts: When I saw the art, I instantly thought of a ps2 game called Odin Sphere, and that silly show in the old days called Samurai Jack. From the “trailer,” I don’t have much to go on, but at the moment, it looks pretty interesting. Bakemonogatari (which I haven’t even finished yet) was pretty cool, and had WONDERFUL production value of a movie, so I’m assuming this will too. Hopefully I’m not mistaken. Thoughts: I think yuri is pretty cool, but often falls into the common trap of being one-dimensional and just too sexual. I haven’t read the manga, so I don’t know what to truly think as of yet, but the premise sounds pretty interesting. Combine Kiss x Sis’s incest along with Aoi Hana’s Yuri plot…could be a combination of greatness. When I think about it, this will be the very first yuri show I’ll have seen all the way through.

So I just wanted to take this time to sincerely say thank you everyone for giving my site the time of day. Keeping up an anime site (or any site for that matter) is a really hard one & when I think back, I wonder how I kept pumping out story after story even if only 3 people read it a day? INTRO: Initially, I was a bit scared to start watching this just because I didn’t want to waste away that thing called life I have. Fortunately, I didn’t. Long story short, beginning yesterday, I finally got well acquainted with Kimi No Todoke (From me to you, or Reaching You). I could talk about the art, character development, & that all that crap, but I won’t – that’s boring shit. Just to reiterate, a review is NOT a sumary (at least all the way through), so if you’re used to reading boring shit, I think I’ll be waking you up right about….now.

BACKGROUND INFO: Now it’s Sawako time. How should I introduce this…? Hmmm. Mind you, I haven’t seen that movie, The Ring, or The Grudge, so I don’t quite know everything about it, but this character is modeled off of Sadako. Her classmates even modified her name into Sadako & talk about her melting bitches faces off and stuff. It’s great. Whenever she tries to say hi to someone, they cower in fear, run away, or pee on themselves…not necessarily in that order. Ok, maybe they don’t pee, but they might as well. If you don’t get it already, she’s the one everyone fears. Ok, here’s the kicker: she’s actually a nice girl! She tries to do nice things for everyone and even goes out of her way to help people out, but she’s always being misunderstood. Poor Sawako. This pic above is how she visualizes herself most of the time. After everyone gives her crap, she gets used to it and gets insecure…..That’s NO good at all!

EPISODE 1: Welllll, at least when she has it up. Anyways, episode 1 gets off to a good pace. Just a sidenote, you’ll notice Sawako in the bathrooms a lot listening in to people’s conversations….does she have a messed up bladder or something..? Like what gives. Moving on, Sawako gets to school and for the most part, wherever she wanders off to, people are muttering something about her one way or the other. Some people are saying things like, “if you meet her gaze for more than 3 seconds, you’ll get sick 7 days later,” while other have even sillier rumors like, “I hear she has supernatural powers!” In a nutshell, that’s the first half of the episode. After a couple minutes of the show, we start seeing more of Kazehaya and how he has a little “thing” for Sawako. It’s not blatant or insanely obvious, but it’d take a dummy to not know something was there.It’s pretty charming actually. After some more shenanigans, Kazehaya asks if she would like to come to this school activity after school. Naturally she does, and plays a ghost. How fucking fitting. To really get into character, she hides in the middle of the school “forest” waiting for people to stumble upon her. And ohhhhhhhh do they stumble. After some time, Shouta comes by and they sit for a short moment and exchange some feelings a little far from everyone’s view. The next day, everyone is talking about how Kaze and Sawako are getting closer. As usual, to not be a burden, she publicly addresses the class and says it’s all false. However, this isn’t before she makes two close friends – Endo & Chin. Those aren’t their formal names, but I really don’ care right now.

EPISODE 2 & 3: When it comes to episodes 2-3, it’s more or less the same crap. Don’t get me wrong when I say crap though; I actually mean the warm fuzzy-make-you-feel-good-slice-of-life kind of stuff. So it’s not filler by any means, but nothing super eventful happens. It starts getting juicy at the end of the 3rd episode. Apparently, the student body’s circulating rumors about Sawako’s 2 new friends. And guess who’s the supposed source of these rumors? Yup, Sawako.

EPISODE 4: The 4th episode consists of the usual antics, then near the halfway point, Endo & Chin spot Sawako talking to a random student about them. The random girl asks if Sawako considers Endo & Chin as her friends, but Sawako stutters, trying to explain she’s not worthy enough. Unfortunately, the 2 girls get dragged away by Pin, their new teacher before they can here the rest of what Sawako has to say. After this, the whole episode is pretty much everyone sulking. Boring.

Episode 5: This starts off with the same thing. Sawako is avoiding everyone and reverting to her old, reserved ways. Only near the end of the show does she reveal her troubles to Kazehaya. Like a pimp, he essentially tells her to stop fucking tripping and just tell her friends what’s poppin. 2 thumbs up.

Episode 6 & 7: Nothing in this episode is important except the ending: the fight between the actual girl who starts these rumors and Sawako. I won’t divulge everything, but Chin and Endo predictably listen in to the words exchanged and save the day from the evil hoe-bag (Yuuka…?). Sorry, but I forget her name. By episode 7, all things are happy and Kaze’s new goal is to get Sawako to himself to talk to her. Sensing this, Chin & Endo purposely cock-block to irritate him. Luckily, by the end of the show, he gets to walk her home. The episode ends with them walking into the distance.

Shiznit I’ve Noticed

1. Enter Shouta Kazehaya: class pimp. I don’t really like using the word pimp a lot  when referring to people, but this just can’t be helped. Though not the main-main character, the show designates him as the object of the story. The girls can’t get off this guy’s junk. I mean jeez, girls flocking from other friggin classes just to say hi & whatnot. He likes long walks on the beach, pina coladas, all that shit. Basically, this guy exudes awesomeness that makes straight guys (in the show) want him too. See? Pimp, just like I said.

2. Sawako is a dummy. A friggin dunce. Always so dainty…like ALL the time. I mean, yes, it’s an endearing trait and is really charming half the time, but the other half…>.> JEEZ. After fighting with the girls who were spreading rumors, where her friends beat the girls up for her, she exclaims, “they finally understand me!” I just don’t get how delusional you can get…whatever.

3. There are 2 kind of Black guys who are generally on TV: the loud, funny one or the laidback, cool one. Ryuu is the ladder. He embodies the Young Joc song, I Know You See It. First giveaway, the hairline. Even though his skin isn’t darker, his hairline is so black it’s not even funny. Second is the attitude. He has this, “it is what it is” kind of thing that’s really fun to see. Especially in this show when everyone else is tripping, and he’s just all like, “what’s wrong with you…?” Gotta love it. In addition, the pic above this paragraph, where he’s glaring at endo (her right?), just priceless. Yeah, he’s a brother from a Japanese mother.

4. Kazehaya is shown almost without ANY faults during the whole span of this series thus far. I don’t believe it for one damn minute. There has to be something. I think we got a little glimpse when Pin, the new homeroom teacher threatened to talk about “his embarassing past” in one of the earlier episodes. Also, in episode 7 I believe, Endo said he was a pervert in middle school. Yeahhhh, that’s what I’m talking about. Yeah, Kaze is a no-good-dirty bitch, and I know he’s hiding something.

4. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS LITTLE DOT!?!?!?!!? I know what it’s for, so you don’t have to tell me, but seriously! Ifthere’s only a small dot, why not just get rid of the whole thing anyways!?!? I don’t know. Again, whatever.

5. Last, but not least, I’m not quite sure if this was an accident or on purpose, but one of the cast’s shirt has “666″ on it…why would anyone do something like that…? I haven’t really looked into what 666 means in Japanese or if it even means anything, but don’t they know that it’s not a universally liked number…? Maybe it was a little joke saying that what’s her face actually wearing it is kind of like the devil or something like that. Whatever it is, I don’t really like it and was definitely like, “WTF.”

PARTING WORDS/CRAZY THOUGHTS: With all the slandering I did, you might be wondering, “why are you even watching the show then…?” You REALLY wanna know why? Because it’s good. A good show doesn’t have “perfect” characters. That’s what makes it so damn great. You have to get mad, sad, disappointed, embarrassed, and all that other stuff to really enjoy it. Hell, Elfen Lied was an emotional rollercoaster, but was SOOO great. After all the trial, there has to be triumph…n’ all that mushy crap.

Thoughts: Honestly, it looks kind of fun. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what this “headless horsemen” type thingy’s about. If you take a gander at the trailer, one of the characters is smashing a chick’s cellphone while they just stare in horror. Come on, you know damn well it’s gonna be a fun ride. Not quite sure if it’ll be super epic, but it does have a catchy one-liner thing going on. Hopefully it’ll be good. I suppose only the future will hold the answer.

Thoughts: I barely know where to start. What the hell is a “Bund” anyways??? Whatever. If you’re a REAL anime fan and play games on the ps3 or 360, you’d know about a special game dubbed, Blazblue (a 2nd one is being made. I’ll post about it later) and a character named, Rachel Alucard. Just a sidenote: for those super cool history buffs, you know that “Alucard” is actually “Dracula” spelled backwards; cool, I know. Getting back on topic, the vampire in the show looks JUST like the aforementioned video-game character, Rachel! This time, she’s cutting people’s heads, fingers, balls (well maybe not balls) off alllllllll over the place. Blood spilling all over the place, people running for their lives. Seems almost like a newly spun draft of Elfen Lied. I’m definitely digging it. I suppose I’ll write more about it later, but for now, it looks very interesting.

Thoughts: When I saw the art, I instantly thought of a ps2 game called Odin Sphere, and that silly show in the old days called Samurai Jack. From the “trailer,” I don’t have much to go on, but at the moment, it looks pretty interesting. Bakemonogatari (which I haven’t even finished yet) was pretty cool, and had WONDERFUL production value of a movie, so I’m assuming this will too. Hopefully I’m not mistaken.

Then, they take it to a new level: bickering maids and butlers. How can you get any better than that!?!? Naked maids and butlers…? Meehh…maybe only naked maids. Yeah, that’s the only thing I could think of, along with people yelling profanity every other line, along with that one girl who always goes, “that’s what she said.” Besides that, this anime seems like it could be pretty promising. I’ll definitely try to stick with it.
