This version of Queen’s Blade Rebellion Ymir (P3) really gets my blood flowing. It is the same 1/8 scale PVC as we have with the other QB figures. I have to say that I have a thing for Goth Lolita’s. Kind of similar to the Maid outfits, but more of a darker nature. I was happy to see that they had done a version of Ymir that really fits my style. I had the pink version of her, but sold that a while ago. I had my eye on this version for a while and finally glad I dropped the cash on it.

The only draw back on this are 2 things: Boobies are too small (yes, I know it is suppose to be that way) and getting the Corset back on was a bitch (had to use tools to get her dressed for display)

I like this version more as she has the dual Battle Axes and the skull heads were everywhere. I also loved the detail on her panties and stockings < pervert. She did come with interchangable faces which I thought was odd. I could only see a difference in the mouths ~ see for yourself as one seems to actually have a smile. The other cool thing are her boots – these were made for STOMPING on your little heads – heeheehee.

Lets take a look at her on display, naked and in the “flesh”. Not really much of a looker, but I know you lolita fans will love this none the less. I think the nice tight curly hair adds an authentic period style to the figure as well. Awww – you better put those sharp axes down before you hurt yourself “little girl”.

For the blah blah stuff ~ She was produced by Mega House under the Queen’s Blade Excellent Model Core brand. She is an 1/8 scale figure which gives her an approximate height of 21cm (or just over 8 inches). As you will notice, most of her clothes do come off and are optional. She also comes with a Mace and Shield to complete her look. This is highly detailed and is more in lines with a statue than an actual PVC figure.

I have to say that I like a strong woman (right Honey!). We have seen some weird body builder type women that just scare the hell out of us. But I have to say that this figure of Risty is spot on hot, sexy and strong without the need for “manly” muscles.

I am liking the more realistic figures in my collection now and she definitely fits the bill. She is ripped and cut right where she should be. I even like the fact that they have battle scars on her. The hair seems to be a bit over done as it looks like clothing more than her hair. The Mace is large enough to be real, but I think the shield is a bit small for this figure.

No one can say she doesn’t fill out nicely – OMFG – I LOVE her BOOBS! They did a stunning job on her nibbles. Honestly, take a look at them and I swear they were real. I want to touch them :3  ~  I touched them – ahhhhh – hard nipples!

Unfortunately, I’ve been REALLY behind on my anime. If you’ve noticed, I haven’t really done too many reviews lately. It’s not because I don’t want to, quite the contrary, but because I want them to be detailed. I know there’s not much I really need to do since most everyone has seen 90% of what I’d be covering, but I still want to make it good enough so if anyone else were to take a gander at my posts, they wouldn’t feel left out, or like they were missing something.

I will DEFINITELY be picking up the normal reviewing soon (hopefully before this week’s over since it’s Spring Break for me), but for now, I’ll be doing informative posts, ecchi galleries, and other stuff. This time around we’ll be focusing on Tsujido Miyuri – bitch #1 in Seikon no Qwaser. She has the typical make-up of a supporting heroine with her pink hair (Baka To Test), nice eyes, big tits (every other anime), and slender frame (standard)…but for some reason, she’s a testy biyatch. The first couple episodes give viewers a nice showcase of her bitchyness, almost convincing us she’s a lost cause/mortal enemy, but something amazing happens later on!

I forget which episode, but during a robbery of Miyuri’s mansion, she takes full responsibility to make sure no one else gets hurt even if it means her stripping completely naked. Now I know getting naked might seem like a small price, but you must remember video and pictures were going to be taken (and probably circulated). Not to mention Tsujido’s precious family name! I really admired her for that. I still see her as a pretencious little bitch…kinda, but I actually like her as a character now. Oh, and by the way, Sasha can fuck himself for saying her breasts are flabby. In case you haven’t figured out already, Queen’s Blade is a VERY ecchi show. The only thing really missing were vaginal shots (awwww shucks). Though along with the ecchi-ness are lovable characters and interesting story. Quite a bit of the time, I felt the combat could have been better in some areas, but I guess I won’t get into it too much. Overall, I really REALLY enjoyed seeing Queen’s Blade and heartily recommend it. Since I liked it so much, it was only natural to want to find sexy pictures of our favorite brawlers. So here it is! Just like how scanlators and fansubbers need time to sub or translate an anime, artists also need time to make fan art. In the beginning of Seikon No Qwaser’s boob-a-lific reign on the ecchi side of anime, there really weren’t too many ecchi/hentai pics on the net. I found some gifs and a couple interesting tomo pics…but it really wasn’t enough to make a full-fledged ecchi post.

To keep up, I check up on new pics a couple times a week just to keep a leg up on the game. I think I’ve been so infatuated until Google pretty much let me have the phrases “seikon no qwaser ecchi” & “seikon no qwaser hentai.” I’m actually prettttyyy happy about that However….it also kind of sucks because when I DO look for new stuff…half the time I’m listed directly, or someone else’s link to me, or a directory site like animenano or animeblips lists me. Yeah, it turns out I’m in more places than I thought…which is nice, but sometimes annoying. Meh, I guess I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What Wonderful Boobies

With all these boobies flying all over the place, it’s definitely easy to understand why some people think this show is a gimmick. In fact, I’ve been watching Queen’s Blade (watching 2nd season), and I feel Queen’s Blade has been a little more exciting at the moment. Misunderstand me not, I love this show, but I think the audience and I know there’s a LOT more in store. Hopefully we’ll be able to witness some longer, and more complex battles…and maybe Mafuyu giving it up to Sasha. Hey, just a thought. Overall, I gave this episode a 7/10. I’ll explain why in the review of episode 2-3 coming soon.

1. Akira wakes up and realizes “yesterday” wasn’t a dream.
2. Akira’s “secret” about being Hime-san’s servant is quickly found out after Hime-san transfers.
3. Student body gets pissed off at Akira.
4. Student body gets REALLY pissed off at Mina Tepes (mostly for being a vampire).
5. Student body gets EVEN MORE pissed Mina Tepes owns the entire school.
6. Akira gets a hot chick’s number.
7. Akira comes back home to the warmth of Hime-san.

Instead of meddling with the intricacies of how this anime is a metaphor for some abstract idea, we’ll be taking a look at how Akira is actually a pimp. A pimp named Wolfeback. As you’ve probably guessed, a pimp’s work is farrrrrrr from easy. An average day can be quite involved when examined. For this review, the focus will be on what happens in the daily life of Akira, and how he deals with it. For critiquing purposes, the collection of his actions and encounters will be the basis of this episode’s score.

A pimps day usually begins with an awestruck fan.

A LOT of people think pimps are just guys who slap women around for money and that sort of thing. Nononoooo. You have it ALL wrong. A pimp’s TRUE job is to make money. Akira understands to make money, he needs to treat his women right (in this case, Mina Tepes). You might THINK it’s Hime-san with all the money, but it’s really Akira letting her manage his checking account. We’re not even talking about his savings account. Nooo, that’s probably a couple episodes away. But in any case, Akira makes money if Hime-san uses it. Ingenious right?! I know…

Reject Hoes

In the complicated game of Pimps and Hoes, sometimes things don’t always go as planned. Take SHAFT for instance. In my opinion, they had a bad pimp who didn’t know anything about money or managing his clients. If he would have gotten some smarter breezies to rectify (haha, I said rectify) the situation, the first two episodes wouldn’t have made me question why I decided to shell out over 300+ dollars to make a website. If you noticed, I used the word “had,” when referring to SHAFT’s pimp. It appears the confused anime studio is under new guidance. That’s a great thing.

In all seriousness though, this episode was a big step from the two previous jokes supposedly called, “episodes.” The ironic thing was how this episode didn’t even have any real “action” in it, but only story-driven dialogue and situations. Like I was talking about earlier in regards to what makes a good anime, there’s a little more promise that has been added to the story along with some mystery elements. Viewers are left to wonder, “what happens to the reject student body presidential hoe?” or “what’s going to happen with the vampire who gave Akira her number so quickly?” At the current moment, it looks like Vampire Bund may be able to pick itself up after all. Let’s just hope it’s not too late.

In the past, I used to take the time to watch a show without anything in the background…lights included, but this season’s line-up calls for a different routine: watching tidbits of a show in-between Blazblue matches. Not very exciting, I know. After watching the marvelous Durarara!! I was literally speechless. To say I wanted to raid my dictionary and thesaurus was an understatement.

I won’t divulge much about episode 2, but just know it focuses on the “suspicious,” frizzy-pigtailed girl who was kidnapped in the previous installment. The audience finds out why she was out in the first place, why she didn’t throw up a question-face when being kidnapped, and what happened to her afterward.

For this review, the outstanding theme will be simplicity. However, take note this isn’t the only fold of DRRR!!’s greatness. Not by a long shot. Unlike Ningyo’s wonderfully put reviews (and titles might I add), which point out things I never remotely stop to think about, this review will consist of what makes this show a true magnum opus (greatest work of art). But what makes a great show, let alone a good show? Barely the other day, Scamp and a couple other writers were talking about what makes a “good anime,” and it made me realize I never sat down to think about something as serious as that. When trying to pin associations to good and bad, a bundle of inconsistencies and paradoxes arise.

For example, DragonBallZ and Bleach are a couple of the most successful shows to date for a number of reasons. They immediately draw people in with the first episode, have an insane amount of episodes (more than 35), contain bad guys who are twice as powerful as the main character, and an ever-growing ensemble of characters. But…on the flip-side, one can probably point out twice as many faults such as incredibly stupid filler episodes (technically bad enough), bratty characters who are better left out (Chad/Saado in Bleach or Krillin in DBZ), recycled animation, inconsistent laws of gravity (DBZ & Bleach flying nonsense), and a number of other silly reasons. Despite the blaring imperfections, these two shows have something many don’t. Originality & promise. Even though we all hate sitting down to watch even half of these series, the promise to see something incredibly cool or original is practically garanteed. Who in the hell knew Super Sayan was real, or that there was even a 4th one!? For all the audience knew, KaioKen was the shit, and that was it. In Bleach’s case, witnessing Ichigo’s ability to control hollow abilities was mind-blowing.

In addition, the viewer MUST remember what a series “public” goal is. By that, I mean what genres a specific show falls under. Azumanga Daioh falls under comedy & slice of life, therefore if it fulfills being incredibly funny and relatively true to real life (which it did), then it succeeds with grace. Of course, if you’re lucky enough to experience other things like charm, multi-faceted characters, and the urge to not want to finish for fear of having nothing to do after, then it runs the risk of becoming a true hit. Likable character designs and other things like that factor in too, but before you go and say something about Hanamaru Kindergarten, try not to instantly call upon your biased tastes, but instead keep in mind what & who the series is targeted for.

Now back to Durarara!! Amidst the originality & promise, this show brims with multiple stories. Something I feel goes back to Soul Eater. ALL of the cast was interesting, and had their own little thing going on for them. Durarara!! makes it know in episode 2 that there’s much more to each character, than a name and subtitled past. We’re lucky enough to get an entire episode’s span of the kidnapped girl, nickamed “Miss Magenta,” when most of us probably thought she was didn’t matter much. Blend the previously mentioned with a unique storytelling mechanic known as “3rd person omniscient,” rarely used in anime, and we’re now getting somewhere. In addition, the animation is subtle, but powerful; a nice foil for this winter. This show also has one of the BEST scores I’ve EVER heard in my life. In regards to musical scores and anime, I’m not too keen on soundtracks and only have Elfen Lied, Final Fantasy, and Yume Miru Kusuri (dating sim), but this is top grade.

To conclude this rant, Durarara episode 2 is obviously only the 2nd of many episodes, but has shown itself to be one of the potential BEST anime shows of 2010. I’m not a hardcore conissoir of anime or what EXACTLY makes a great show…well a great show, but I do know DRRR!! certainly isn’t a series you want to sleep on.

Anyways, that’s besides the point. I’ve made it my goal to be one of the top goto sites for Seikon no Qwaser coverage, so while doing the daily search of Stigmata pictures and information, I stumbled (and pleasantly I might add) on to some really interesting gifs. If you haven’t seen the uncensored version of S.N.Q. episode 1, then I suggest you do so right now. If you already have, then do yourself a favor and take a gander at a new picture of Tomo & these wonderful animated gifs. Boy, don’t you just love technology these days?
