Logitech, the computer accessory behemoth has a new mouse coming out the beginning of July and they have one message: “fuck your keystrokes.” okay okay, they didn’t really say that, but let’s pretend they did. With a whopping 20 buttons (including the left and right buttons), Logitech answers to Razer’s famously macro-friendly Naga mouse. Ohhh…you thought Logitech was just going to sit on the MX? Ha, yeah right. In my opinion, the G600 1-ups the Naga due to ergonomic buttons complete with that little “bump-thingy” that you usually see on the ‘f’ and ‘j’ keys for for intuitive button presses. Of course, it has LEDs, but this mighty mouse (supposedly) has over a million combinations to choose from.
However, the thing that truly differentiates the two rivals is the “G-Shift” button where the ring-finger normally rests. This acts as a modifier key to DOUBLE the amount of macros you can use. To my knowledge, it can go cordless, has high DPI, and internal profiles. In other words, you don’t need to install software if you don’t want to…though you probably will if you buy a mouse like this. For someone like me, who already loves Guild Wars 2, this accessory is looking quite attractive. If you can wait until July, expect to drop $80 for a G600 in black or white. Visit Logitech’s G600 MMO mouse page to preorder. I always knew going outside was overrated.
