Maintaining a website is hard work – something half the people reading this already know. In the process of producing material for a site…and paying for it, three main elements are involved: content, press, and design. So far, I feel FinallyAnime’s content has been sincere and fun to read, but still has a long way to go. In regards to press or getting the word out about the site, FinallyAnime seems to be fairly well-acquainted with Google. However, the design aspect has been getting on my nerves for a long time. Remember a couple weeks ago, I made a post about being tired of paying for wordpress themes and how I wanted to make my own? Well it has been in motion for quite some time no, and we’re getting relatively close to seeing something tangible. Below is what FinallyAnime should be looking like very soon.
I would show you more, but I’m a little paranoid of people stealing my idea and making it their own at the current moment. I don’t mind after I’m done with the visual change, but for the moment, I’ll be releasing future images like these with watermarks. Anyways, Dennis, an invaluable part of FinallyAnime AND webmaster of AnimeBullet, the BEST anime streaming site in the world, has been helping me with coding. Hopefully this new, more serious/professional design should be coming out soon! When I finish the entire site along with Dennis, I’ll be making an entire guide about how to make your own anime WordPress theme. Stay tuned!
Blogging is hard work and I can’t even imagine having to design my own layout theme. Good luck and it looks great from that small preview.

I actually just finished making my own, based off a free one. Granted, I did mine through trial and error but I think it turned out real well.
Had to start fresh since my old blog of a year closed down since my provider was having problems. But now with a new look, everything looks fresh and dandy

@ Rockleelotus: Yeah, I wanted to try to simplify everything. I know people look at the site, but I’m wondering how people BROWSE it. I really want people to see my site as something good enough to put as one of their homepages. I’m gonna work super hard to get that going too.
