Usually I don’t like writing posts about site updates and that sort of thing, but I felt even though I made some small changes/additions, I needed to let everyone viewing this site know. First off, unless you are blind…no, that’s a bad joke, let me start over. Ok, unless you hate boobs, then you probably noticed my new badges I made this afternoon. Yup, just like the cool ones animenano & animeblips has. When you get finished thinking how tasteless this pic is, don’t be afraid to stick my badge on your site if you’re into the web-badge thing. And as usual, let me know if you do, so you can get a mention on FinallyAnime! as well. We like to keep everyone happy around here

Second round of business: Navigation. It’s not really a super ascetic change, but the navigation nagged at me ever since I began the site. For some reason, the first option was broken and for the life of me, I could NOT figure it out. I finally got some help and figured out I had too many children under the parent. I’m a bit thankful because navigation mapping was something I really needed to get to a long time ago and I had just put it off, but I’m glad I did it – one less thing to worry about. The only thing that still kind of bothers me are the nav-links at the very top. The little half-translucent tabs that drop down are getting on my nerves. I want everything to be painfully easy to see…and this just isn’t cutting it. I’ll be getting help for it this week.

The next point isn’t really an update, but more of something I need to do. Spell-checking/grammar. As a writer, you’re supposed to engage the viewers. I feel I do an okay job at that, but I looked at a couple of posts, and I’m a little disappointed in myself. Due to weird time constraints, I can’t really do as much spell-checking as I want, but I’ll definitely be going back to make sure my other posts are half decent. Oh, and formatting’s another thing. When I migrated the info from ClicheAnime to this site, a couple things were lost in translation…literally. I still haven’t figured how to activate Japanese on this blog yet and it’s really annoying me. If someone else knows how to get a plugin or enter some code to allow Japanese, I’d LOVE it. There’ve been a number of things I really want to talk about, but need Japanese text to make it pop.

Last but DEFINITELY not least has to do with RSS feeds and widgets. I’d REALLY like to get some live feeds going, but the general rule of thumb is to not have a viewer do a lot of scrolling. With a bunch of crap in the sidebar, people would do just that. So instead, I’m trying to work out having feeds at the bottom of the page where the “This is a WordPress Blog” stuff is. I think that’d be wonderful. Or even better, directly under the WP-Nav (page navigation).

Jeez…if only I could snap my fingers and do it…but then again, if everyone could snap their fingers, then everyone would have a site I guess…but I don’t want that >.>

P.S. Supplementing the stuff I’d like to do, tell me what you think about the site so far, good and bad. Hopefully I can take it
