Well it’s been about 2 months of serious blogging (on this site) and I’ve reached 10k hits! Finally. It’s about damn time I think. I remember when I first started blogging, and got excited about getting 78 hits a day. Just recently, activity starting spiking and I’m loving it. However, the only thing I wish there were more of were comments. Noowwww don’t get wrong! I LOVEE the people who comment on my posts and PLEEASEEE keep it up. I just wish more people would. Supposedly there’s been a study done and about only 1-10% of your readers actually comment. It can be anywhere in that range. Some sites say if you ask, you’ll get more, but I feel like content should be so engaging, the readers will be compelled to comment themselves. I can’t lie and say I haven’t done that on maybe 3 or 4 posts, but that was it. Though 10k hits is a small stepping stone, I feel it’s a big one for me.
So I just wanted to take this time to sincerely say thank you everyone for giving my site the time of day. Keeping up an anime site (or any site for that matter) is a really hard one & when I think back, I wonder how I kept pumping out story after story even if only 3 people read it a day? Today, I was reminded of that writing about what you care about does in fact pay off. You don’t need thousands of dollars for advertising (though it’d probably help!), all you need are good fellow bloggers along with an open fan-base.
Again, thank you everyone who is reading this for coming to my site and taking time out of YOUR day to read what I have to say or even just look at the fun pictures. Just as important, thank you for the wonderful comments! Keep them going please 
When I see even 1 comment, especially the reallly long ones, it just gives me a nice warm feeling inside. Thaaaaatttttssss what keeps me going. But at any rate, have a great day and if anyone’s in college at the moment, good luck on finals

@ Glo: Well I guess technically it was 3 months I suppose since it took 1 month to COMPLETELY overhaul the visual look of the site. And I did blog over the summer, but that was @ WordPress.com. But when I moved, all my traffic was goooneeeeee. Like I’d only get like 50 hits a days @ BEST. It was sad
But I finally decided to stop being lazy and make the most of the $138 dollars I spent putting this site up in the first-place. I think it’s paid off 
I’m even thinking about putting up (ONLY) 1 or 2 small ads to help the site pay itself off. But I’ll only do that when I get like 1k hits a day. At the moment, I’m @ 500-700. Ha, when I posted that hentai post I got like 200 instantly lolllll. But don’t get me wrong, I’ll aways stay true to anime. Read my post labeled, “Hentai: More Than Nudity” (I think that’s what it’s called) to see how I feel about it more. But I can’t wait to see what the MileStone is 
But you get way more comments anyways! So my meager achievement’s not as big lollll jk, I appreciate everything I can get 
And is why I’m still writing. But at any rate, I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to glance at your site in forever it feels like. I’ll head over in a bit.

Honestly, even though I already said in the post, I really do live for comments. I feel they’re the lifeline/blood of the site. If people don’t see comments, they’ll think people don’t look at the site and I don’t want that because people DO look at the site. And conversely, if there are like 16 comments, people’ll wanna see what’s going on. I definitely you know what I’m talking about since your site’s like L337 pretty much lol. I was serious when I said I started looking at your site before I even thought about blogging. Shake n’ Bake!

Took me over a year to get 10K. That’s what happens when you put no effort into drawing traffic or SEO or any of that good stuff. You seem to be working pretty hard at it, so I’m glad to see it’s paying off.

It took me a month and a half to reach 10,000 hits and My sites been open for about 2 months now. XD. At this point i don’t know how many hits i got, But I’m glad you’re really getting hits. Just keep up the good work.
And believe me, I KNOW how it feels to get actual comments for your blog posts. It makes you feel good when people come and comment on your blog posts. And I also wish moar ppl came to comment on mine, But not really since most of the time i dont rly care.
I blog for fun XD I freaking love it. Blogging for fun is what Blogging should really be about my breh.

Yeah, comments are really nice. it shows people actually read (or read enough >.<) of the post to be able to reflect on it. It takes a lot more effort to think and do something about it then to just skim through it. It shows people care

I don’t know the difficulties of obtaining 10k hits on a blog but since you (and others) mention it’s something difficult to obtain I’ll just have to believe you.
It’s odd. I didn’t know I was actually contributing to a goal of yours. What you write down it’s definitely worth reading and I hope others are capable of seeing that. I plan to read the other blogs I didn’t have a chance to catch up on.

Hmm… As for when i began Blogging? I can say at the beginning of September… I was on some old wordpress blog. THEN I WANTED TO GO PRO. so i decided to buy a domain in october and get myself thrown on Anime Nano real quick. All because i wanted recognition. I was solo, but then i Invited other friends of mine from a forum i frequent and well, here I am.
I honestly the secondary reason i wanted to take it up a notch besides the flexibility of it is because I wanted to see if i could actually compete against the likes of blogs like Random Curiosity, Sea Slugs team, THAT blog, and BakaRaptor… you know. Just knowing i have people even reading my blog is enough for me to keep the ball rolling, because i’m confident in a few years, i’ll be just as popular as Random Curiosity.
One helluva goal huh XD

I don’t think my site will ever be that high unless I start posting more. I’m going to make a post whenever I get 10k hits of blocked spams LOL thank you spammers for attempting to spam my page. I always thought that it annoys bloggers if I make really really long comments compared to everyone else xD You know I used to be one of those people who doesn’t comment at all,, just read everything but after starting a blog I tend to comment more. Normal people don’t comment, its only bloggers who comment (mostly) xD
Lol, idk, I really like expressing myself about stuff, so I try to comment as much as possible. I’ve always been a commenter, and LOVE comments. The longer, the better lol. A comment, any length is like a pat on the back for me. In addition, it lets me know people actually looked at my site. But in the end, it’s all good
And yeah, power to the bloggers! Don’t worry, your site’s actually pretty cool and I was looking at it when I started, so I’m sure you’re more known than you think
