Making a website is hard. Maintaining a website is harder. Getting people to your site is very hard. Getting people to tell others about your site is next to impossible. To remedy this problem, the common solution is to acquire some sort of “social media” plugin or script right? Mmmmm, mostly right. However, the main issue of social media is the sheer number of plugins available. Ever try finding a nice plugin that doesn’t disrupt the daily flow of your site? It’s going to be hard. What’s even harder is getting that one plugin to do the opposite: even make your blog stand out in a good way because of it. Well you know what? I have some damn good news. I finally found that God-forsaken social media plugin & I want to share it with everyone. Knowing that, I also made this post for the anime (and regular) bloggers who don’t always have time to run his or her mouth about their site 24/7.

The weapon of choice is a very spritely plugin dubbed, Sexy-Bookmarks. It’s a bit misleading because these aren’t actually bookmarks, they’re social media buttons. This is the main reason I’m thinking people don’t really know about it. If it weren’t for the “Sharing is Sexy/Sharing is Caring” catch-phrases above the icons, I’d still be in the dark. The funny part was how it took me a good 20 minutes to find out what the plugin was called, then where to get the link. (At the moment, I only have the wordpress plugin, might get plugin links to other services later)
