Alllrighty, well I just want to let you all know, this is not a primarily ‘h’ blog. I don’t mind being “known” for it as a specialty, but it is not the main focus. All I do is try to bring the anime public things I think they should know about. In other words, if I’m interested in it, I’ll make sure to tell my viewers. And just be warned, I’ll never publically post links or pictures to downloads of ‘H’ or anything like that; you’ll have to make a request via commenting to the post if you do. Anyways, on to a couple observations I found.

I don’t know if I was just in a daze or this show seemed a little boring from the description/synopsis, but apparently, Akane-iro ni somaru saka is a show that people actually watch. It came up like 3rd in anime search terms I found. Again, I don’t know how I missed this. I’ll fill you all in with an excerp from WinWab, who does a wonderful job at summing up the series background:

…Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka also known as The Hill Dyed Rose Madder or Akasaka in short, is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Feng. It was first released for the PC as a DVD on July 27, 2007…[The] manga began circulating in Kadokawa Shoten’s seinen magazine Comp Ace on June 26, 2008 which is illustrated by Homare Sakazuki. The Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka anime adaptation began airing in Japan on October 2, 2008. This is produced by TNK and directed by Keitaro Motonaga. The Saka anime’s opening theme, entitled “Hatsukoi Parachute” (Hatsukoi Parash?to), is performed by Miyuki Hashimoto and the ending theme, “Sweet Gift”, is performed by Rie Kugimiya. While the second ending theme performed by Ry? Hirohashi, “Confusion…”, is used for episode three. TNK made a mistake in the credits for “Hatsukoi Parachute”, and named it “Ren’ai Parachute” instead. An additional original video animation series will be produced on June 26, 2009. Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka OVA will soon be posted here in Winwab as soon as the Original Video Animation is released. Watch out for this Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka OVA. (WinWab.com)

Now I’m a bit confused. Are there 2 distinct anime series of this show…or were they just remastered…? I’m a little confused. All I know is the general synopsis of the story for the new show is upposed to be something like this: Jun-ichi Nagase has been nicknamed the “Geno Killer,” since he is a rebellious middle schooler. “Inadvertenly,” he uses this title to help a girl named Yuuhi Katagiri from trouble. What kind of trouble, I’m not sure yet. You would think she would be relieved, but not knowing what happened, she yells at him. However, to both of their suprise, it seems Yuuhi is his fiancé! The whole engagement was arranged by their parents! After finding out, both their parents have them “go out” together for a month to “restore their relationship” (did they know each other in the past and don’t remember…like Maburaho? The whole story follows the crazy adventures of Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka.

Looks like a heartwarming series to be :)

Anyways, I was actually able to read up a little bit, and there are episodes already subbed (I believe) of the anime, online and ready to go. I’m just still concerned with the whole new 2009 release thing. I don’t think the anime is a hentai series or anything like that, especially when ANN said it was greenlit, but I believe it might be an ecchi comedy. I’m not quite sure. I have to see & check. But I will be watching the first episode either today or later on this week to see if it’s any good.

Links can be found on Megaupload & I’m sure there are illegal torrents & stuff for it, but I strongly advise you let me review it so I can save you the time.

And in other news, there actually is an H-Game version of this, like WinWab said of this series. In fact, the game is how everything all started. I can’t confirm yet if the game is the basic same story, but it must have been a good game for an anime show to be made from it. Then again, I suppose there are a boatload of useless harem/spouses to be shows floating around clogging our arteries, but I don’t know…I’m getting a different vibe from this brand. They have a pc-game, manga, series, (another series coming out…?). That’s a nice little resime going. So anyways, I did find the links to the game, but omg….they are SOOOO SLOWWWW. It took about 15 minutes for EACH link…AND there’s like 20 parts it looks like. So in the mean time, I’m going to try to look for a better source.

Alrighty, time for the second part of the ‘H’ Report. I was just doing a little surfing as usual & this one person made a gargantuan post. This post was like 3 pages long…wow. This guy seemed pretty emphatic about what was going on with this title. In addition, there was something else that really caught my eye: fully subbed/voiced game. Isn’t that amazing??? Not ever have I came across a fully subbed/voiced game. You know, that means even the main protagonist is voiced! I know some might say, “oh, well why in the hell would I want to hear this guy’s voice?” Because it solidifies the story that much more! That’s why. Moving on, the other thing that REALLY stuck me was the amount of memory this game took to make. 3.85 gigs……???? THAT’S ALMOST 4GIGS for a FRIGGIN H-GAME! Jeez, some hi-definition games don’t even take up that much memory. Insane. There must be something really interesting about it…hmm.

Well anyways, damn…I cannot find the post I clicked out of! -_-” tabundelete only keeps so many tabs in it’s memory. Visit this post if you don’t know what I’m talking about. Anyways, I’ll try to find some english on it later on. :( This brings me to my next topic: Japanese Translation Software! Again, like I said earlier, comment if you’re curious about links. Though I warn you yet again, they’re probably in Japanese….and so I say….

Stay tuned for my next post regarding Translation Software!!! ???

I thought Akane Iro Somaru Saka was pretty good…..until the last several episodes. The emotions of the characters were so over-dramatized that it was almost comical, except instead of being almost comical, it just became annoying and pissed me off. The only good thing is that Kugimiya Rie is in it, as she is the best seiyu ever.

The OVA, Akane Iro Somaru Saka: Hardcore (I think the name is funny…”Hardcore”) will probably just be a bunch of random shit that happened somewhere in the middle of the series, as I don’t see how they can really continue the series, as the last few episodes were so ridiculous and retarded that they turned out ridiculous and retarded.

    I still recommend it.
